This Heart of Mine
marchin one by one
people on their telephones, hello
savin time it’s runnin out
the drivers honk and shout
and when I wake up to the lullaby of livin i’ll wish
that I could wake up to the voice o f someone tellin me who owns
this heart of mine
marchin two by two
children move from school to school, hello
teach em early it’s their fate
mommy’s gotta get paid
and when I wake up to the lullaby of livin i’ll wish
that I could wake up to the voice of someone tellin me who owns
this heart of mine
marchin three by three
soldiers make my country bleed, oh no
and I do nothin it’s too big
I do nothin it’s too big
and when I wake up to the lullaby of livin i’ll wish
that I could wake up to the voice of someone tellin me who owns
this heart of mine

About
A little snapshot of time through my eyes. I’m pondering where my heart and soul are in the context of the World. Both of my bass guitars were out of service, so I used my daughter’s Rogue bass on this one. It’s actually not too shabby; it’s kind of a brutish bully that can more or less be tamed when mixed.
